Local switching |
Description: |
An even broader view of the scene here this evening. To the left, CSX engines 2709 and 6210 are moving tank cars around. In the middle of the screen you can kinda see the Finger Lakes railway's yard. Looking to the right of the yard and across the CSX mainline, are two trains on the siding tracks behind the New York State fairgrounds. An ethanol train that is tied down, and a local Y train that will probably go from here to DeWitt yard. |

Q621-10 |
Description: |
When I saw this train leaving DeWitt yard in a WB direction, I figured that it was heading north on the St. Lawrence-sub. There are few other trains that haul intermodal containers, and mixed freight at the same time. They're passing through Hamlin Marsh here in the early afternoon. |

B973 meets B777 |
Description: |
As the B973 shoves 18 cars into a siding, engine 2709 slowly brings its two car consist back into position beside the station. The B777 had to move just north of the Buckley Road bridge in order for the rear of B973 to clear the switch for the siding. |
