I'll be posting a closer view of those units in my "Roster shots 2012" album. The train is seen here in the vicinity of QC 299. A`cording to this web-site the three former UP units are SD40M-2's.

Former UP's for the NECR?
Title:  Former UP's for the NECR?
Description:  Looks to me like the New England Central has made a new acquisition. These three former UP units are on CSX train Q386"24 at 06:25 hrs. near QC299 on CSX's New York-Chicago mainline. According to this web-site, all three of these engines are SD40M-2's.
