Description:  I have'nt railfanned much at all this summer, but today I turned the radio on just to listen to what might be going on. I heard the NF dispatcher tell two westbound stack trains that they were gonna have to hold for a high-n-wide that was going through Lyons at that very moment. So, I decided to go out for this one. I don't know what is on the flat car, but it looks seriously heavy.

Description:  At 06:25 this is the first catch of the day! The three former UP units are apparently going to the New England Central RR. I'll be posting a closer view of those units in my "Roster shots 2012" album. The train is seen here in the vicinity of QC 299. According to this web-site the three former UP units are SD40M-2's.
