What's this? |
Description: |
Tied down on the industrial siding right next to the grain elevator in Jordan, NY. This is the first time I've seen a yard slug in this neck of the woods! The grain elevator here (CSX's "water level route" MP307) is serviced by a crew out of Lyons, NY. I'm really curious about this for at least a couple of reasons: one at least is the fact that power is not usually tied down here. |

This set is tied down here on the industrial siding late this afternoon. I wonder how long it will be around? |

Slug-set departs |
Description: |
The yard slug and the #2507 have been here in Jordan all week-end until now (19:15) when the Q626, led by unit #5223, stopped to pick them up. While the train occupies track 1, the power uncoupled at CP306 and backed westward down the industrial siding and then coupled with the slug set. After a brake test they were on their way. |
