CN 5626 & CITX 3095 |
Description: |
These two engines are the 3rd and 4th of 5 on CSX train 626-17 late this evening. I first saw the train in Jordan at CP306, and it was moving very slow. They were just getting back up to speed here when the defect detector read back a hot-box on the north side of axle 54, and so they had to stop the train in Warners at CP300..........bummer! |

Q626-17 |
Description: |
Since I was working against the sun, I had to settle on a going away shot here. If it was'nt for the CN and CITX units, I would'nt have bothered. Unfortunately the train will have to stop at CP300 in Warners because the defect detector sensed a hot-box on the north side of axle 54! The consist is led by CSX #260. |

Ethanol train K682 heads east out of the controlled Belle Isle siding around 11:00 this morning. Earlier today this CN engine was on the opposite end of this siding facing west. I'd really like to know just how in the world it got turned around!?! |

Canadian National |
Description: |
CN engines power a westbound mixed freight through Memphis this morning at around 10:00. Oh, how I love to see foreign power out here! Also; I don't think these signals are long for this world, they're in the process of setting up new signals all along this line. |

CN power |
Description: |
We left our house to go for ice cream with the kids at around 6:45 PM and I swear I heard a crew calling signals for an eastbound movement with CN power. I was sure we missed them. After getting ice cream, I had my wife drive down near the tracks at the grain elevator in Jordan, and I barely had enough time to get an approach and going away shot! These two units are westbound here at around 7:15PM. |
