With their work done here at Birds Eye, the crew is getting ready to head back to the small yard in Baldwinsville. This track used to go further north and into Oswego, but not anymore. You might notice in the background behind the train, that the road has been paved right over the tracks. In fact, the rail was never lifted, it's still there all the way to Oswego. You just have to look through the weeds and trees to find it. Also, at several crossings along the way, old cross-buck signals are still in place even though the road is paved over the tracks! |

Barrelling southbound down the line towards Kellogg Rd. In the early 1980's the "TankTrain" used to travel on this trackage between the New York State fairgrounds and Oswego. I myself watched it pass by the fairgrounds, but I never saw it anywhere else on the line. If anyone out there has photos of it, please share!
