Q626 |
Description: |
I've seen a lot of new and odd things out here lately.........."new" trains and new symbols........westbounds with even-numbered symbols, etc. I swear I heard these guys call this the Q626 when they called the signals. The Q626 is almost always mixed-freight, today it's running earlier than usual (12:41) and is nothing but auto-racks! |

Frenchs Hollow |
Description: |
Even though this mixed freight is basically heading due south, it is an eastbound movement. They're high above Frenchs Hollow at the south end of the Watervliet Reservoir. |

EB mixed w/NYS&W #3810 |
Description: |
Railfanning after work today was like the old days for me; no plan, no scanner, and a cheap camera! I got out of work and headed for the Belle Isle siding to see if anything was there, as I was gettin' close I could see the tail end of a string of tankers headin' east around the end of Onondaga Lake near the Carousel Mall. I changed course and headed straight for CP286 to wait it out.........Nothing. Started heading back westward for home and then saw this! |
